This Cookie Policy explains how Inventus (“Inventus”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on invent-us.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data more generally.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your choices, and to provide information to the website owner. Websites can also store information on your device using similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage and session storage. In this policy we use “cookies” to cover all of these.
Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies). Others stay on your device until they expire or you delete them (persistent cookies).
How we use cookies
We group cookies into four categories. Our cookie banner only shows the ones we currently use: Functional and Statistics. We don’t currently use Preferences or Marketing cookies, but they’re listed below so you know what each category covers. Functional cookies are always active because the website cannot work properly without them. We only place any other cookies on your device if you give us your consent, and you can change your choice at any time.
| Category | What it does | Needs your consent? | Used on our website? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Functional (strictly necessary) | Makes the website work, keeps it secure and remembers your cookie choices | No | Yes |
| Preferences | Remembers settings you choose, such as language or region | Yes | No |
| Statistics | Helps us understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it | Yes | Yes (Google Analytics) |
| Marketing | Tracks visitors across websites to show them relevant advertising | Yes | No |
Functional (strictly necessary)
These cookies are essential for the website to function and keep it secure. They include the cookies that remember your cookie choices. They do not require your consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cmplz_* | Inventus (Complianz) | Record your consent preferences and ensure your cookie choices are remembered | Cookie and session storage | Up to 365 days |
| ct_*, apbct_*, bot_detector_* | Inventus (CleanTalk) | Protect our contact forms from spam and automated bots | Local storage | Until cleared by you |
| wpEmojiSettingsSupports | Inventus (WordPress) | Checks whether your browser can display emoji characters correctly | Session storage | Session |
Preferences
We do not currently use preference cookies on our website. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before placing any.
Statistics
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are visited most often, so we can improve it. The information is collected in aggregate. We only set these cookies if you consent to statistics cookies.
Google Analytics is provided by Google, which may process data outside the UK. See our Privacy Policy for more information about international transfers.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors so we can count visits and measure how the website is used | Cookie | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_5HNNHNK193 | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your session so that page views within a visit are measured together | Cookie | Up to 2 years |
Marketing
We do not currently use marketing cookies on our website. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before placing any.
Managing your cookie preferences
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by selecting Manage consent on our website, which reopens the cookie banner. Withdrawing consent stops further cookies in that category from being set; you can delete cookies that have already been placed using your browser settings.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block functional cookies, some parts of the website may not work properly. The links below explain how to manage cookies in the most common browsers:
| Browser | How to manage cookies |
|---|---|
| Google Chrome | Chrome help: clear, enable and manage cookies |
| Mozilla Firefox | Firefox help: clear cookies and site data |
| Safari (Mac) | Safari help: manage cookies |
| Safari (iPhone and iPad) | Apple help: clear history and cookies on iPhone |
| Microsoft Edge | Edge help: manage cookies |
To stop Google Analytics collecting data on any website, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using new cookies. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. If we make significant changes, we will ask for your consent again where required.
